Mad for March Kittens

March was a busy month. Nathan and I had lots of playdates that we attended, which naturally meant a few more sickness for the family, but you can only stay in the house for so long. Nathan always seems to really enjoy any playdates we had, not because he plays with the other kids yet but because he like to play with other peoples toys.

One day we went to a really fun place called the Monkey's Treehouse ( a big indoor playarea) and daddy got to go with us. The two boys had a really great time playing with all the neat toys and climbing the stairs and other things. They even had a little thing of balls that was the perfect size for Nathan.

He practiced walking a little bit more every where we went, most of the time he would clutch to one of my hands but there were times that he would walk solo. We also spent a good amount of time indoors as well, which Nathan enjoyed because he spent his time playing with his toys and learning to climb in and out of his toy box.

During the month, Mike and I discussed the idea of getting another cat, mainly a kitten. So I looked around at the different groups that had kittens and we found one that had potential. So we all went to the foster house to take a look at there kittens. We looked at a little of five kittens that were all about 8 weeks old, they were all adorable but there was one kitten in particular that was really interested in Nathan and was also very friendly and playful. So we decided to adopt him. He was a little grey tabby cat that we decided to name Odin, to match our Norse theme that we had started with the other cats. Odin spent the first week he was with us mostly in the 2nd bathroom so Freya could get used to another cat in the house. Loki, surprisingly, took to Odin very quickly.

And as soon as Odin started wandering around the house more that is in Nathan took notice and the two of them began to follow each other around and playing. This was two days before Easter so Odin was a wonderful easter present.

The day before Easter Nathan and I went to the Nashville Predators Ice Hockey game with some of my close friends. It was Nathan's first hockey game and he seemed to somewhat enjoy all the noise and activity but we also spent the a good portion of the game wondering around the downstairs area because he got bored. But he seemed to have a good time.

The next day was Easter, daddy got a basket with legos and candy, mommy got some bath products and chocolate, and little boy got a big green frog, some baby magnet toys, some cookies and two oranges, which he immediately wanted to eat. Nathan and I spent most of the day inside spending a day relaxing.

Later in the month we went to get Nathan's one year old pics, we are a month behind, mostly on purpose. But we got some really great pics, one which is the one at the top.

If you would like to see more just email and I can send you other ones if you like.
