The arrival of Fall

Fall is finally here!!

Ah, time to blog. Where did this come from? This lovely time is brought to us by some distracting noisy toy that my son loves. So I decided to take this time to update, so you lovely readers actually have something new to read.
So let's jump in the time machine and go back to September.
Not much happened in the beginning of the month, but on the 22nd we packed up and drove over to Gatlinburg for the 2nd Trollvention. Info for those that don't know Mike and I collect Smoky Mtn. Trolls otherwise known as Arensbak Trolls. We think they are cute, some others may not feel the same way. We'll let you decided. So Nathan got to spend the day on top of troll mtn. with other collectors and the Arensbak family. He also picked out his first troll, he was really drawn to the stargazing troll. So that is what he got. Here are some pics with Neta Arensbak ( the wife of the man who first made the trolls) and also with Marianne (Neta & Ken's daughter) & the big troll by the door.

On Sunday we went to see the Smoky Mtn. Aquarium since Nathan likes fish so much. We had a really great time seeing all the big fish swimming around.

We went up on top of the great Smoky Mtns the next day and went to the top of Clingmans Dome. Whew, what a hike! But not for Nathan. No he had the easy ride, we got a good family pic on Clingman's Dome and some cute pics of Nathan by the Appalachian trail.

We also did some shopping, looked at a lot of crafts, and took a short hayride through downtown Gatlinburg. There was also a mirror in front of the bed which Nathan loved to run at and bump his head.

Hop back in. we've got to jump to October now! :)
So near the end of September. I signed up for several mommy meet-up groups. And in the beginning of October we went to a Pumpkin Patch. Where we got to get on a hayride, see lots of farm animals and Mike & Nathan got to pick out some pumpkins. Here are some of our fun pics.

In the middle of the month we went up to New Jersey to see Grandmom and Grandpop Kent.
The day after we got there we went over to Strasburg, Pa with the Grandparents and rode on the Choo choo train and went to the RailRoad/Big Train Museum.

Nathan spent five day with them while Mike and I went up to North Jersey for a friend's wedding . Mike and I went into New York for our anniversary and saw the Broadway show Chicago and went to eat at a fancy steak restaurant, mmm mmm.

Later when we came back from North Jersey we took Nathan back to Underwood Hospital to see his old NICU nurses and doctor. They really enjoyed seeing him. And they were happy to see him so healthy and big.

And of course for Nathan' s first Halloween we had to dress him up like a dragon.

We went to lots of fun little parties with the mommy groups so Nathan got to wear his costume a lot. The first party we went to was a halloween party at a mommy friends house where there were lots of other kids and toys to play with.

The next party we went to was one at Cheekwood in Bell Meade. We we all went trick or treating and had lots of fun.

Where did July and August go??

Daddy and Son
well, it seems that life got REALLY crazy and I forgot to put updates on the blog for July and August. Well... Let's Recap!!
Alright!! So we had July 4th were Nathan got to see Fireworks for the first time.
We went to the Sound's game that on July 3rd and saw the game and fireworks. He really liked the fireworks, he stared up at the sky and watched the fireworks with his mouth open, he gets that from his father, lol.

The next day we went over to the Lewis's house. We went swimming and had a fun cookout. Nathan got to swim with Mike for the first time and he seemed to enjoy swimming better this time. Later that night we went to Harbor Island Yacht Club to watch the fireworks there, once again more pretty thing for Nathan to stare at.

That weekend ( July 6 -7) we went for our first family trip up to Monteagel. We went over to Stone Door in South Cumberland State Park, where Mike used to work, and looked out over the Gulf. It was a good day, later we went to a Fancy restaurant, ooooh, Hill Top. Where Mommy and Daddy got to have a nice quiet dinner together. How was that you might asked. Well, Nathan was asleep during the whole thing, giggle.

We also went down to Chattanooga the next day and went to Ruby Falls, Nathan's first cave. Then we went to Sticky Fingers where they have great ribs.

The month went by fast, Nathan and I would go to the park downtown and meet Mike for lunch. One day we all went to Centennial Park were we got to walk around and have a good day.

We also went to the Ped this month and Nathan got some more shots, yeah.
Nathan weighed 13 lbs 14 oz, he is 243/4 inches tall, and his big head! 42 1/2 inches

Now for August
We went to the Williamson County Fair in early August, Nathan 1st and had a fun time looking at all the livestock and booths.

We did not really get to go out much during the month because it was to hot, like in the 100's every day. But Nathan was starting to sit up better and he was (is) still trying to crawl. He was also getting fun baths from daddy!!

But Grandmom and GrandPop Kent came down near the end of the month and spent the week visiting with us. We went down to Chattanooga and rode the Tennessee Valley Railroad Train ( Nathan's1st train ride and went to the Tennessee Aquarium where we got to see lots of Fish, which Nathan really enjoyed.

We went back over to the Lewis to swim, so Nathan got to swim with his grandmam and grandpop. We also went to see City Hall and to the Wilson County Fair.

Well that about sums it up, till next blog!!

Our Busy Boy

Big Smiles!!

So June has come and gone and woo was it busy. Nathan has been keeping Mike and I very busy. My mother, Nathan and I went down to AL to see my grandparents, Nathan's great-grandparents. It is the first time that they have seen him, and he had a good time visiting everyone.

Nathan also went on his first swim on Memorial Day Weekend, he did not really like it at first but then he enjoyed it. He played for a little bit then started to get cold so we got out and sat in the sun.

He also really started rolling from his stomach to his back. Which is basically all he would do when it was time for his tummy time. I would lay him down and then he would roll over on his back. Then I would have to roll him back over then it would repeat.

We have also been taking more walks and Nathan has been sitting up a little better so when we take the stroller we leave the car seat and he just sits in the stroller. He seems to like it a lot better because he has more room and he can look around a little easier. We like to take walks down to the lake that is by our apartment and watch the ducks.

We also started Nathan on first foods because she was showing a lot of interest in our food. So now twice a day he gets his first foods along with his milk he really enjoys it.

Mike, Nathan and I also went to our Labor of Love class Reunion, where we got to see all the people from the class we took along with their new babies. I will gladly say that I think Nathan was the cutest, as well as the oldest. Even though he was premature. Nathan had fun watching all the other babies, it was the first time that he has ever been around other small babies.

We also got a visit from his great aunt and uncle that live in CA. They came down for a short visit.

Our friend James and his friend Jeff, who were driving down here to see this sights. So they also stopped to see us.
